I am moving into a small apartment and am planning to get a Mac Pro. I want to get a single monitor to serve as both the computer's monitor and an HDTV (the signal will come from a standard HD cable box).

I figured one of the 27" or 30" Dells would work well; I could connect the Mac's DVI port to it and the TV could come in via component video from the cable box. But I've heard that the Dells don't support native HD resolutions or something along those lines.

Obviously, it has to be a computer monitor "first"--your average $800 32" HDTV could connect fine, but doesn't have enough resolution to serve as a primary computer monitor.

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.
