Mac The Ripper - Region Change Count

I have a simple question about Mac The Ripper.

I have a Region 2 drive in my MacBook. Can anyone tell me if ripping a Region 1 DVD using Mac The Ripper registers a region change with either the drive or Mac OS?

But in doing so, and ripping the DVD region free, the application won't register a region change?

No regions only come into effect when you try and play a DVD film. Since Mac the Ripper treats it as a data disc region does not come into it.

After i rip a Region 2 dvd with MTR, and use DVD2oneX2 to burn the dvd onto a blank dvd, DVD2oneX2 still detects the region 2 'PAL' code, despite having set MTR's RCE to 'All'......and it won't play on my home dvd players cause of the region code......

What am i doing wrong?
