Macbook "bands" under User folder

Under my User folder and Username, and then a couple more folders, there is a folder labeled "Bands" which is taking up many GBs. When you enter the folder an click on one, you get the small screen full of wing-ding type fonts that even C3PO would have a hard time understanding. Since my start-up disk is getting near full, I was wondering:

1) Does anyone know what these "bands" are? Do they relate to actual bands, in iTunes?

2) Are they safe to delete? They are hogging up much space.
