Hi this isn't really a windows related thread, but I couldn't think of where else to put it. Anyway, my macbook CD hates other operating systems. I tried to install darwin and it booted the cd then just hung at a blank screen. Then I tried to install other stuff from my opensolaris starter kit the dvd boot and lets me choose which system I want to try. If I select any variation of nextena OS it just hangs at a blank screen. If I try belenix its boots up and I go through my keyboard layout, then it tries to boot and just freezes with some lines across the top of the screen ( this happens with both my solaris 10 cd and opensolaris community edition cd ) This time I try every variation of schelix ( I think thats the name) and guess what I just get a blank screen.

also the solaris and opensolaris dvd's are dvd's I got in the mail and the darwin one I burned myself so I doubt if all the cd's were messed up....also solaris booted in VMware.

and I know it's not my cd drive because I installed ubuntu and windows before and it worked.

why does my macbook hate OSes? and how can I fix this?
