Hi, I would just like to know if this laptop would be sufficient for music production with the c2d processors (which im not fussed on). Should I wait for new revision for the extra processing power?

I would mainly be using Logic and maybe Cubase to record my band and will probably be using 5-6 tracks at once which will probably eat the processor. (Maybe this is more dependant on RAM im not too sure).

In regards to 2.4 vs 2.66 MBP13s, the 2.66 is a waste of money.

.26GHz + 70GB of harddrive does not equate to $300 in upgrades.

If it helps. I use the 2009 2.26GHz for Logic Pro, Aperture, and Final Cut. It's solid. Also, you can get the 2.4 2010 model for $999 at Microcenter (if you have one close by). They have had an ongoing deal on that model.

Thanks for the replys, very useful. I agree with the pricing for the extra ghz is not worth it. Im from the UK so im thinking about the £999 model with education discount so i'll maybe get it for about £860
