I just purchased a MacBook Pro 13.3 2.26GHz and need a monitor. What do you guys recommend? The Apple Cinema display is a little out of my price range.

I'm looking for something around 24 inches.

    Thanks in advance!

Dell has a great selection, and I've heard good things quality-wise too. :)

Agreed. Dell's Ultrasharps are brilliant. :)

The new HP monitors (2009m, 2159m, W2338h) look like the Apple 24" LED Display and you can get it if you want, or Dell as they have good monitors.

    How about the Samsungs?

Ultrasharp is still above what I'd like to spend.

If you don't mind losing 2" of real estate, Dell Ultrasharp 2209WA would be an excellent choice. Can't beat that price!

That monitor does look good. Review seems great as well. It doesn't have any speakers though.

Anyone know anything about speakers and a wireless mouse/keyboard?:D

The new HP monitors have built in speakers in them. If you want external speakers, the Logitech Z-2300 are good quality speakers. The bluetooth Apple Keyboard and Mighty Mouse should be fine.

...the apple bt keyboard is fantastic but I couldn't get it to work with my winXP BT computers (some can, I wasn't able to)... so back it went as I didn't need it on my iMac... I would get the apple bt keyboard but the MM sucks... logitech v470 works very well and has good reviews...

I'm in the same boat. I just brought home my new, shiny MBP 13.3" a few hours ago (and i've been on it ever since!) Anyway, I've been browsing sites for an external lcd monitor for the past few days. Some gamers that I know had lots of good things to say about this Viewsonic 22" (http://www.officedepot.com/a/produc...-_-Monitor_Models-871735-_-viewsonic_vx2260wm)
I'm not a gamer, really but i figure they're more picky on specs than I'd be, so it cant be bad =)
Also, i've found two others on Newegg.
    LG 22.5" (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824005124)

    Samsung 22" (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824001273)

I know you mentioned 24" and these are a little smaller, but I just thought i'd share the few things that looked the best to me. The Apple display is definitely out of my price range right now. Although, I haven't looked at any Dell monitors, so i dont know anything about them.

Can anyone explain the advantages or disadvantages to IPS - In Panel Switching?

Nevermind, I just bought it (Dell Ultrasharp 2209WA). Got a sick deal on it (214 total AFTER taxes and shipping)...

Rule of thumb, if you don't what it is, you probably don't need it. Like if you don't know what fuel-injection is, you probably don't need a sports car with it.
