I am thinking of getting a mac book pro 15". I am choosing either between the 2.16 or 2.33 ghz processors. Does .17 ghz make that big of a difference? Is it worth that much more money do spend or what?

Thanx

seconded. skip the processor upgrade and go for extra RAM. also consider upgrading to a faster, larger-capacity hard drive.

Could one buy the 2.0 and then swap with a 2.33? I happen to have a spare 2.33 Merom and I am wondering if the motherboard that comes with the 2.0 would support it? Anyone have any ideas? I did a search but couldn't find anyone this brave? :)

NO! The CPU is solidered to the Logic board.

Get the 2.33 GHz Refurb if you can get your hands on one.
comes with 2 gb RAM standard and 128 mb more memory for your graphics card.

Just be patient.

lol, it is very very very hard to wait. but it will be worth it. and yea, if i could find a refurb. core 2 duo, not core duo, then that will be the day, but all i could see was core duo.
