Expercom Offering MacBook Pro With Touch Bar For Up to $225 Off With AppleCare

Apple premium reseller Expercom is offering some notable discounts on new MacBook Pro with Touch Bar models, including up to $53 off 13-inch models and up to $167 off 15-inch models depending upon the configuration selected.

The discounts are even steeper when an AppleCare Protection Plan is added. 15-inch models with AppleCare are up to $225 off, while 13-inch models with AppleCare are up to $117 off, depending upon the configuration selected.

A limited number of MacBook Pro with Touch Bar models remain in stock, with the majority estimated to ship in 2-4 weeks. Prices are valid until November 26. For reference, here is Expercom's sales tax policy.

They are doing it to price-match a competitor's promotion.

The B&H pricing on the 2015s is still the sweet spot.

These are likely concurrent estimates. It's not going to take another 24 to 32 business days to deliver after it ships.

As a 15 year-strong Apple customer, neither the iPhone 7 (with its lack of jack support and not much to offer over the 6S) or the pro laptop range (with zero upgradeability and a plethora adapters that would be required) are an option for me.

I fear it'll be a long time 'till I next splash out on new Apple hardware. However, my Mid-2010 MBP with upgraded memory and SSD is still flying, albeit Sierra being the last officially supported OS. I'd kill for the retina screen though, so I'll probably end up going for an older model which can be upgraded and already has all the ports I require.

It won't be long before Apple start to offer external keyboards with the touch-bar support. I may be in the minority here, but I do actually believe this is more than just a gimmick. From what I've seen, it's been extremely well implemented. I wouldn't be surprised in future MBP's ship with touchpads that operate in a similar way. Perhaps I'll hold out for these. I've no interest in a touch-screen laptop!

Also if people are going to be getting these as gifts (because apparently people buy 3000$ computers as gifts) should include a dongle bundle with it. (say, a USB C to USB A hub, and an HDMI adapter) That way people can actually use their laptop as something other than a web browsing device.

I just did the same for the 2TB SSD version: same price as Apple: $4,299. If I'm not mistaken, Apple ships for free. Also their website says you must be an existing customer. All that being said, since they are in Utah, you might get out of paying sales tax.

I agree. Everybody is discounting the MacBook Pros $100 or more but with Apple you get a "gift card". Big deal! Mark down the MacBook Pros!!!
