    Hello,
I am a photographer who just purchased a macbook pro and I am looking for a large monitor to purchase to go with it. I can't afford a Mac Display at this time, but am looking for another brand that will work well and is easy to set up. I use photoshop to edit my photos and am concerned about the color and pixel issues in a monitor that in not a MAC.

If you can recommend a good monitor that works well for a photographer who can use with her Macbook Pro along with other cords I might need to make it all work, that would be most helpful.

the Apple display use IPS LCD technology which gives very good colour reproduction useful for photography. the Dell U2410 and HP 24" business displays also have this. but they dont have LED backlighting like the Apple display.
