Macintosh HD size fluctuates...!!!

I have recently installed windows on my mac using parallels .

whenever i open windows , size on macintosh hd info. varies , suppose at 12.pm its 242.8 after 10 min its shows 241.6.. and i havent done anything or installed or saved anything....

pls guide me what is happening ..

and hd size keeps fluctuating...

Computers, both Mac and Windows, use what's called "virtual memory". Basically, it makes your computer's RAM last longer by saving some of the data to the hard drive instead. Mac OS X won't include its own virtual memory when you get info on the drive, but Windows is also saving virtual memory to its hard drive. Since the Windows hard drive is stored as one big file by Parallels, saving more data to the drive will make the file bigger, even if that data is used as virtual memory.

At least, that's my best guess. Is it a problem?
