Am I just terrible late to the game in mentioning that Apple horizontally swapped the images for the Fullscreen buttons with Big Sur as opposed to at least macOS Catalina ? I just checked on some of my more recent theme-mockups and all the themes I for when Fullscreen was introduced like they are now - I have the buttons based on the old appearance of what is now a horizontally swapped image.

I noticed it with Public Beta 9, but I haven't had the courage to mention it before now.

Anyone know when the Sound menu changed to show an AirPods icon when AirPods are connected? I'm about 95% sure this wasn't in Beta 9.

I noticed this too, but some betas ago already (perhaps since the first). I wonder why.

They removed the Yosemite, El Capitan, Sierra, and High Sierra, iMac Pro Marketing wallpaper, and the 2016 MacBook Pro Marketing Wallpapers from system preferences.

I was actually surprised to see all the old, familiar wallpapers that have gone missing over the years. I knew something felt very off every time I went to browse options in the Desktop & Screensaver pane.

This album has been archiving all macOS wallpapers as Apple gradually removes them:

Verification that these are the real original wallpapers and that the album isn't re-compressing the images or anything funky. The MD5 checksum of the file I downloaded from that page matches the original in my Desktop Pictures folder. Ie: they are the same exact file.

Code:
$ md5sum /Users/Administrator/Downloads/Catalina\ Sunset.heic
09c412eb4761f94b6f98b6e4e337268d  /Users/Administrator/Downloads/Catalina Sunset.heic

$ md5sum /System/Library/Desktop\ Pictures/Catalina\ Sunset.heic

Nice repository. I have Macs going back to OS9, so if anyone wants wallpapers from any of the OS versions, please let me know.

I find it to be pretty poor design that the "X" button to dismiss notifications in notification center switches sides (left or right) depending on whether you're dismissing one notification or a stack of notifications. It should consistently remain on the same side.

in 11.0.1, there’s an icon for a 2018 MacBook, in Gold, which IIRC was never released. Comparing it side-by-side with the normal Retina MacBook shows a slight font variation and a larger front cutout. Interesting!

I wonder if that points to the unreleased, potential 2020 MacBook being the first AS-based Mac, and the filename is just a decoy (them hoping nobody would notice)?
