Hi,

I want one program to load on my Mac whenever it restarts, without me having to login first - is this possible?

I know I can turn myself on for automatic login and then it will work, but my Mac is shared with my kids and so I don't want automatic login on

There must be some terminal command or something that could possibly allow this, right?

Thanks in advance

You could create a generic user account on the machine -- don't tie it to an Apple ID -- and set your mac to log into that account automatically and launch that program. Does depend on what that "one program" is and whether you care if anyone else can access it.

It's a Mac NVR program that serves as the NVR for our cameras. If I'm out of town or something and the Mac restarts for some reason (even though it's connect to a UPS), I want that program to launch so that the camera feeds are recording when motion is detected, etc. I'm afraid that even some software update will force a restart while I'm out of town and then I'll be out of luck
