macOS Tahoe (26.1) Login screen delay

Hi,

anyone also noticed a delay on the macOS Tahoe (26.1) Login screen that prevents you from typing in your password immediately after a fresh start?

Yes. It takes a few seconds before the password box accepts keystrokes.

I raised FB20002719 but - as usual - it's been ignored.

Only on my iMac. On my MacBook Pro M4 keystroke acceptance is instantaneous upon restart.

Interesting. I have an M4 MBP too, and I've had this issue for quite a while.

I'm currently running 26.2 dev beta 2.

Not me. It's a relatively new problem, in that it only started a few weeks ago (don't remember which Tahoe beta version).

That is strange. I’m still on 26.1 on both the iMac and MacBook Pro.
