Fascinating interview between Rachel Maddow and Jon Stewart. I've got to say, Stewart really made Maddow look silly in this interview. So many great one liners and moments of Stewart brining reality to light while Maddow fails to comprehend or realize that she's so ridiculously blinded by her own partisanship to see the world as it is.

That being said, Maddow did conduct herself in a very civil manor and seemed to genuinely reflect on a good number of his points.

The entire video is worth a watch:

    Silly? Really?

I watched the interview. I've got to say, 5P, silly is in the mind of the beholder.

And your mind must be full of... silliness.

The thing is- fivepoint thinks we worship these people like he worships Ron Paul and Glenn Beck. I've seen the Daily Show twice and never even seen Maddow. I bet the same can be said for a lot of people here.

Fivepoint, we don't give a crap about the people- only you do.

    All evidence to the contrary.

Speaking of which, I need a new vacuum, does anyone have any suggestions. The guy at the Oreck store said the Dyson was overrated.

I don't care whether you like them nor not, Lee. Millions of people do. They play big rolls in the media, and they make a difference in the world we live in. The whole world doesn't revolve around you. If you don't care about it, don't ***** post about it. If I see threads here I don't care about, I don't comment on them. It's not that difficult or complicated. Sad.

I had an Oreck for years... and was underwhelmed.

Frankly, finding a good value in vacuums isn't easy these days.

    Anybdoy have any good suggestions?

I have been using a dyson for about 5 years and love it. My only complaint is the futuristic, deconstructionist styling. A bit over the top but it's only cosmetic.

It true. The thing totally sucks, in a good way.

Yes, about $100 more then an Oreck. But you will save the $$$ on bags in the long run.

But I can't tell you the number of threads I've seen here that quote TDS as the sole source. The scary thing is people here actually only get their news from JS and TDS.

You're going to have to prove that. I certainly don't. I don't even have cable.

Here are one, two, three examples.

All cite solely TDS as their source in the OP.

Mind you, I only looked on the first page of Mroogle hits.

You said people here ONLY get their news form JS and TDS. Those do not prove that assertion.

That's what I call BS on. Prove it.

Eh, I'll give you that one.

What I meant was some people here think that TDS is a legitimate news source.

    EDIT:

Just realized you decided to cut the first half of that quote which said basically what I just stated, again.

It doesn't matter. You stated that many people here only get their news from that source. The first sentence has no bearing on that one. Nice try at wiggling out of it though.

    Most threads are.

We're all quite ridiculous people... taking ourselves way too seriously.

If it wasn't so much fun, we'd find better ways to entertain ourselves.

Pay attention kids, this is the difference between a preschooler and an adult.

One knows how to let go and admit when they weren't clear in their original intent.

One knows how to tell the teacher when someones feelings have been hurt.

Why is the term VS. even included in the description of that interview? To me it didn't look like Stewart, Maddow vs. anyone they were just having a discussion.

Umm... first you said you may have made a mistake, then you tried to wiggle out of it with your last sentence, saying, that you didn't actually mean what you quite clearly said. You could have simply admitted your mistake and left it at that and said "Oops sorry- didn't mean to paint people in this forum with that broad brush", but no- that would be breaking the conservative MO. Instead you had to accuse me of misquoting you, which I did not. Who's the adult again?

BTW- personal insults are against the rules, It has nothing to do with feelings or anything else. So take your BS and go somewhere else.
