Issue: when deleting messages in the junk folder on the iPhone, select and delete all, all are deleted from my iPhone and successfully after opening my iPad and letting mail sync they are deleted from my Junk folder on the iPad automatically.
When doing the iPad first and deleting the contents of the Junk folder it does not sync to the iPhone.
My inbox on all devices automatically sync with no issues.
Is there something in settings that I can check?

A device is supposed to update the email server…and then the email server updates any device that subsequently connects.

After you've deleted what's in the Junk folder on the iPad check the email server via a web login to see if it's empty.

On iCloud the apple mail junk folder is empty, put I cant see the gmail folder so I don’t know about that one being empty, on the phone is still shows 3 junk emails and is empty on the iPad. On safari and signed into gmail on the web the junk folder shows I email not 3 left in the junk folder. Therefore perhaps the problem is gmail?

Update,
Went into the gmail junk folder on the iPhone and it updated. But gmail does not seem tom be updating through the all junk box.
