mail won't send or recieve...(after pwning last night)

hello, i've read that after pwning many people's mail simply won't open. my app will open but won't receive or send any mail. is there anyone else in this boat? or does anyone know a fix?
it also won't let me set up any new accounts

edit: it looks like it just can't connect to gmail..
can anyone else not get go gmail through client? i can get to it on the web...but iphone or mac mail

edit edit: i can recieve emails through my college imap email, but can't send, and i can't send or recieve gmail
