mailing bug with illustrator/ cs extension changes

hello,

just installed tiger last night. one bug i found was it changed all of my illustrator cs and photoshop cs file to jpegs. i could still open it in illustrator and photoshop but they are jpegs with the ai extentions. also all my photoshop files now open in imageready as jpegs.

when i email illustrator files to friends the recieve jpegs. what's the deal? has anyone else experienced this?
