iPod touch **MAJOR 3rd Gen iPod touch bug***

i have a 32 GB 3rd gen iPod touch with firmware 3.1.1. my major problem is when i try to scroll down a webpage, or try to type...the screen jerks around constantly. when i try to type, it wont type the key that i want to tap (which leads to hitting the wrong letter) or it automatically types letters when im not actually typing.

any solutions

1. Power it off then power it back on, or
2. Do a Restore

See what that does.

If that doesn't work take it back. My 2nd gen did that among other things. I am glad I waited for the 3rd gen. So far and knock on wood I have had no problems and am delighted with it.

actually i called AppleCare and sent it in to have it repaired after doing like seveal restores
