Man, you so should have waited! In 3 years its probably going to be like $40 or something. You got ripped off...

But on a less sarcastic note, I'm sure people will appreciate you pointing this out. I recently upgraded and paid $175 I think.

And if you add that discount code that's listed near the top of the page you linked to, it takes that $154 price all the way down to $134. That's crazy! I'm really thinking about upgrading my MBP to 8Gb for that price, even though I don't even need that much RAM.

Guys, just a few months ago 2x4GB was around $300+. 2x2GB was creeping up to $100. WTF HAPPENED?

I did. Kernel Panic every time I did something that consumed the RAM heavily (i.e. VMWare or Photoshop). Had to take it out. Tried just one stick, same thing. Sold one stick to a guy who bought my 15" and he hasn't called me so I assume it's fine on casual usage, but if you're really hammering it, the G-Skill just caused issues and I was forced to bite the bullet.

Now I might just have gotten bad RAM. However, it's also possible that I got what I paid for.

I first saw it at $230, bought it at $200 and haven't had any issues so far. At this rate they'll be paying you to take it off their hands in a few months. ;)
