I've got a color iPod that syncs with my Mac and my wife has an iPod Mini that she uses with her PC but it's becoming a bit of an ordeal managing both of our music collections. Since I find iTunes on PC quite irratating I wondered whether it would be easier to manage them both on my Mac. Would it be easier? Obviously I'd have to format hers for Mac but what other things would I have to take into consideration?

Can you set different options for each iPod? As hers is only 4gb capacity and my library is over 20gb can you choose which playlists sync with each iPod?

I'm probably more concerned than I should be but just wanted to run it buy some more seasoned iPod users.

Thanks.

Others can probably advise you better on syncing etc. but I do know that you would not have to Mac format your wife's mini as a mac can read and write to both Windows and Mac iPods.
