I am wondering where it is myself!
The day is still young - it's only ~11 am in Cupertino.
itll be out when its out
argh! I knew someone would say this "non-informative" phrase
thanks for adding nothing to this discussion.
My bet will be monday, no evidence to back this up, just a feeling.
his comment was about as worthless as this thread...
What do you expect? Divination? Nobody knows when 10.6.2 comes out. Even the thread title says so "expected". We expect lots of things to happen. Not all of them do. Apple has not announced 10.6.2 and thats all we can go off of.
Like it or not, "it will arrive when it arrives" is the most accurate answer that anyone can give without violating their NDA. Even if I knew, I would have signed a confidentiality agreement covering it. No way I would risk the lawsuit for breach of contract.
Having beta tested Apple's software before, I an tell you that nobody involved is gonna say anything if they knew. And they don't.
The only fact we have is that it will be released before the new magic mouse (was it called that?)
If you look at when updates have been released for 10.4/10.5/10.6 it breaks down like this: Monday 7, Tuesday 6, Wednesday 4, Thursday 2, Friday 1. In other words, the odds of an update decrease as the week goes on. Personally I think Apple doesn't want to make an update late in the week, Friday especially, because if it turns out to have a major problem they'd be scrambling over the weekend to get a fix out. Or in the worst case it would require pulling it back and respinning it.
The magic mouse is already out. There's a software update to support it. Apparently Apple expected 10.6.2 out before the mouse but that didn't happen.
Magic Mouse has already been released. It works with pre-10.6.2 systems, you just have to install a patch (drivers).
You beat me to it.
OP: make it even more useless by setting it up as a poll.
sounds like a couple of cranky people took a bite of the snark-sandwich today….!
I was simply wondering.
The updates since I've been following OS X have always been added in the late afternoon where I'm located (Central Time).
6.20pm Friday in San Francisco
2.20pm Saturday in New Zealand
and it's still not in SU .
It's good it's not out yet. More time to fix a few more bugs, and since these updates come out every month or more, might as well make it as good as possible.
My bet is this Monday.
