There have been many rallies and marches in many countries worldwide regarding climate change, in advance of the UN climate summit. The one in New York today (Sunday) was really big:

The People's Climate March was one long, loud, loosely organized demand that vast sums of money be taken from the wealthy and given to the clients of the coalitions and alliances and networks and task forces that make up today's environmental justice movement. Not gonna happen.

An insignificant amount. According to the EPA, the main sources of global warming are ...

But the moment that trash left by groups seeking to raise awareness of the problem makes the list, I'll be sure to post it.

For people that really love the planet, they have a funny way of showing it.

Stop climate change is probably the wrong term. It should be regulate climate change. If we stop it we only have one constant temperature and that would be hard to maintain.

So it seems like the counter argument to climate change is "We don't need to worry about it because rallies create litter."?

Unsure. But is the awareness/action it spreads worth more than the waste? Hopefully.

If the EPA data is correct and energy and industry are the prime movers of climate change, then the last thing we need is the 2.3 billion Third World population improving their lives by progress and development. Better that they stay in their mud dwellings and tend to their water buffalos.

When climate change activists begin their campaign to prevent the Third World from industrializing, let us know.

Interesting to see that this whole thread has dissolved into ad hominems.

Well, it's not like it was an open carry protest.
