MBA 2020 8/256 on sale for $799 at Best Buy

Same price on Amazon too. I bought mine at Best buy this week and I'm working on a price match now.
 
Microcenter had them at $800 for weeks prior to this sale with a ton in stock, but you had to buy them in person. MC is up to $879 now, but again, tons of stock.
 
Interesting, price is back up to $999 at BB with stock. Flash sale maybe?
I found out about it by loading my Amazon shopping cart each morning with the Air in it. I figured if Amazon dropped the price it was in response to someone else dropping theirs.
I pick up tomorrow morning at BB. Apple offered me $380 for my 3 year old Intel Air. Pretty good upgrade for $420 and I get to keep my AC adapter.

But for me it got a bit weirder. I had an appointment to trade in my M1 Mac Mini with Apple today with the intention of getting a refurb MBA. But once I saw this price, I knew Apple might match up to 10% off. So after doing the trade-in, we were getting set to have the manager come over to approve the price match when I brought up Best Buy's site (which is blocked on the display computers there LOL), and the $799 was gone! I was a little embarrassed to say the least. Oh well, easy enough to get a refurb overnighted.

At least they gave me some Ted Lasso stickers

It’s $779 at microcenter, but only in person. I don’t know why people don’t seem to look there too.
