    MBP 15" Antiglare
    Processor: 2.2GHz Quad-core Intel Core i7
    Memory: 8GB memory
Hard Drive: 750GB Serial ATA Drive @ 5400 rpm
    Intel HD Graphics 3000
    AMD Radeon HD 6750M with 1GB GDDR5
    Built-in battery (7 hours)
With an external 27" monitor not sure which one yet

    $2,449 (not including monitor)

    iMac 27" Antiglare

    2.7GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i5
    8GB memory
1TB Serial ATA Drive + 256GB Solid State Drive
AMD Radeon HD 6770M with 512MB

I will be attending graduate school for design and will use the computer for a variety of projects ranging from print, web, video and photography. Also my idea is with getting the MBP and a monitor is so I replace having two computers. My only concern is the battery life and longevity of the MBP.

Feel free to give me your opinions and if you have had a set up with either of these and what was most effective. Thanks! :)

MBP 15. portability, you want to be able bring it to class. also just be careful with it and it will last :apple:

I had pretty much the same decision to make if you see my other thread.

I chose the MBP and external monitor and I love it.

Go that path and you won't be disappointed.

15" Macbook pro and an external monitor, preferably the older cinema displays which are matte. It's my set up (sig). Love it
