mbp 266 vs 3.06? benchmarks

does anyone have any input on the 266 i7 vs the 3.06 model? All i see is 266 vs 2.8 and info saying the 266 will boost up to 3.06.... what im starting to think is the 266 and 3.06 macbook proS are very much alike in processing speed. I have come to this conclusion based on the fact that i can not find any info on the two machines. I would think these benchmarks would be done on the 266i7 top end model vs the 3.06 top end model before the refresh?

any thoughts?

C2D at 3.06GHz 2 cores or i7 2.66Ghz (possible 3.33Ghz) with 2 physical cores and virtual cores? I think the i7 is considerably faster than the C2D in theory but day to day there isn't much differences. If you are a heavy user then you will see the difference.

My Geekbench results:

2.66GHz i7

3.06GHz C2D

Same parts in both except for the obvious like CPU, GPU, etc.
