Hello,

I just installed iStat menus and The temperature of my MBP is 118 Fahrenheit.

Is that to high or it is normal?

The Left and Right Fan are running at 1996rpm

totally normal.

In fact with high load (gaming) you could see that go close to 170f

Ok, Thank you...

What is the highest it can go? that its consider good.

Yes, My MBP is cool to the touch and I am not doing anything intensive and the CPU sensor is at 131F (55C), and both fans are running at ~2000 RPM

Your temps are completely fine.

I'm assuming you have either a late 2008 or early 2008 MBP with a Penryn processor. If so, your CPU can reach up to the mid 80's (celsius) during processor intensive work. The Tjunc for the intel's seem to be locked in at 100 degrees celsius (~220 degrees fahrenheit). You have nothing to worry about.

Oh. And use the search function when you can. This question is asked once every other day.

Many Pro users have posted temps. As stated before, all you need to do is search.
