Surprise! John McCain jumped into the gutter and hunkered down until the last possible second...

A vote for John McCain is a vote for Al-Qaeda.

If Obama wins as big as projected, let's hope we bury Rovian politics once and for all.

EDIT: While we're at it, can we toss dirt on JT Plumber too?

I'm pretty sure most (if not all) Cubans/Cuban-Americans are smart enough to know that Fidel is no longer in charge of Cuba.

I was just listening to that on CNN. Yikes.
Who cares about the candidate? Look, Castro! Stop him!

More desperation, which won't work. The politics of southern Florida are changing. The expatriate Cubans who fled Castro now have voting-age children and even grandchildren who don't have the same identification with the homeland. Even the older generation of Cuban-Americans seems to be softening their anti-Castro hard line. Obama wants to begin normalizing our relationship with Cuba -- a stand which I think has more appeal to Cuban-Americans than more of the same.

FWIW, my mother married a Cuban who has like 40 family members. They have been staunch Republicans for years but are all supporting Obama.

I just heard on TV that this did seem to move some Cuban voters...

    ... to vote for Obama.
