me.com email problems

    hey guys... I just switched over to iCloud email from Gmail, and I'm switching all my apps over, too. However, because of the Apple ID/ Mobile Me stuff going on, I can't switch everything. One issue I'm having is not being able to send iMessages from my iPod, which I just changed over. The option to send is greyed out. I can send them from my Mac, though (In the Messages app) Can I please get some help?

    Check in Settings then Messages and be sure it's turned on.

    It is. It was working fine before I changed my email to iCloud. I think it has something to do with Apple still switching over from Mobile Me and not letting us have out iCloud emails as our main ones fro our Apple ID's.

    Also, I can receive messages on my iPod, just not send them. I can do both on my Mac.

    I wonder if Apple will let us make our @me.com addresses our main ones when MobileMe expires... :rolleyes:
