Meanwhile, while everyone is distracted by Golan Heights, it seems #45 has done something Bush 2 and Obama refused to do: "the Trump administration has reportedly given tacit approval to Taiwan’s request for 60 new F-16 fighter jets"

"John Bolton, Trump’s national security advisor, is a proponent of the deal, said one former defense official."

(Next: Full diplomatic reorganization of Taiwan.)

War is very profitable for people high places.
    That won't happen.

    Bless his heart.

He's trying so hard to provoke a war somewhere.

    Yes

Unless they rename the "Taipai 101" to "Trump Pagoda".

    The ultimate campaign slogan.
Provoke China to attack, win reelection 2020.

Is this actually that big of a deal? The Taiwanese Air Force already flies US-made F-16 (block 20’s I believe) and F-5s.

It sounds like they’re getting their equipment upgraded (I’m assuming the “new” jets are block-50s, but the article doesn’t say).

China has been getting more and more picky about how other nations deal with Taiwan and especially with regards to warfare, so for most no, it is not an issue. For China, oh yeah, it is a BIG issue.

OK, that I can understand. Authoritarian regimes can be a little touchy about things like this.

I’ve never been a fan of tip-toe-ing around other countries, so I don’t think I have a problem with the administration approving the sale and telling China to “deal with it”.

Seems like he caved to the Mainland, they wanted F-35’s.

Now they are getting older technology that China has no doubt been able to study in detail.

On other news, Little Rocketman is meeting with Putin in Russia, to receive the orders Putin wants him to pass on to Trump.

They do this now because it is far less likely that the Deep State Illuminati Globalist Liberal Banking Elites will be able to intercept these instructions, if the are only passed via whispered ear.

They did try this before with the Chinese president, but he kept passing on the wrong instructions.

With the exception of Japan and Israel and maybe countries in Europe, I don’t think the US has ever sold a state-of-the-art weapons system to another country.

I could be wrong but I believe that rarely happens. And frankly, I’m not sure how good I’d feel about Taiwan operating F-35s

F-35 is being sold to quite a few allied nations, the F-22 is extremely close held however.

Like the US not wanting Turkey to buy the S-400 system from Russia? ;)
You have never been a fan of tip toeing around other countries but the US has to do quite a bit of tip-toe-ing in following orders from others in the Middle East ;) Perhaps we should tell them to deal with it as well ;)

Wake me when we start playing war games and deploying carrier groups over it.

What “orders” from the Middle East is the US following?

The majority of the policies which been implemented that speak for themselves in the Middle East are dictated to the US or in this case Trump by/via Israel to suit their personal interests/agenda.

If these “policies” speak for themselves, then I must be woefully uninformed because I still have no idea what you’re referring to.

Can you be more specific? What policies exactly are being dictated by the Middle East that the US is being made to follow?
