Okay, now Sarah Palin is just acting like a three year old.

You will recall that at a recent Sarah sighting, the media were told that they would not be allowed to speak with customers inside the bookstore, or leave a specific roped-off area designated for them. The media were required to arrive three hours before the event and have their cameras, computers and cell phones inspected. Live feeds were not allowed, and questions could not be asked. After three hours, a selection of journalists was allowed to observe Palin for ten minutes from ten feet away, then were escorted out.

Okay, flash forward to another book signing, and look what happens:

    Yeah, I can see that.

    Hello Kitty?

Will this be how she interacts with the media once she declares her candidacy? I hope so, it'll add to the circus appeal of this upcoming election!

This seems to be standard fare for her, why this would be surprising behavior is beyond me. I can't see it changing when she announces her candidacy.

Two years in the national spotlight and she still can't learn to keep her mouth shut in public. Her handlers have their job cut out for them.

I wonder if somebody is already planning on infiltrating the Palin camp. They'd make a fortune getting the unscripted, raw Palin.

Because after the horror show that our economy has been the past 3 years, America needs a laugh track.

In her defense why should she trust the media? Limiting their action seem to the be only way to do anything.

The media today seems to only look for negative stories to run so why bother trusting them.

No, she's scared of the media because they might ask her a tough question like "What newspaper do you read?" or "What Supreme Court case do you disagree with?"

She's refused to talk to non-Faux News media ever since her diasterous Katie Couric interview where she couldn't answer softball questions any politician (or hell, probably any adult who isn't brain dead) should be able to answer answer.

Sorry boys, but these humble threads are not the cause of her celebrity... they are merely a response to it. And it would seem to me to be an appropriate response considering that Palin was "this close" to gaining the office of vice president and is quite possibly gearing up to run for president.

We would ignore her at our own peril... a strategy that would seem to me to be unwise. How would you suggest we deal with one of the leading contenders for the office of President of the United States?

From the way she's acting, I'm sure Sarah's motivation is to teach the "liberal" media a lesson. What that lesson is is anybody's guess.

If you recall the Couric interviews, Palin was furious because Couric dared to ask her questions about things other than what Palin wanted to talk about. Palin came in with an agenda of talking points, and having to answer real questions -- even simple ones -- revealed her for the lightweight that she is.

Palin doesn't understand (and she has a journalism degree, remember :D ) that the media ask the questions, and she answers them. They are not stenographers who are there to take down her talking points.

But this stuff -- keeping the media away, drowning out their questions, getting all pouty about dem people who are not nice -- it's a bizarre cross between Pravda-like media control and a passive-aggressive tantrum.

Oh..and will we continue to talk about this stuff? Sure...as long as she keeps doing it. It's the political equivalent of a freak show.

Because people, like the OP, keep making threads about her and reading news articles about her and watch those gossip television shows about her...

That's sort of pathetic. But also funny.
