Well the right time would have been after inauguration - but I agree. Good move. Maybe she can keep him busy at night so he's tweeting less. But not likely.

Definitely a welcome news. Hopefully Barron will stay out of DC's madness.

Melania is going to be upset about this turn of events.

It certainly couldn't hurt though. As we saw at Easter, sometimes he needs someone to nudge him to do the right thing.

A good wife excels at those sorts of things, no doubt.

Given his perverse antics, I'd imagine he's into different toys.

Obviously he was preoccupied thinking about how great he is. See the smug look on his face. LMAO.....what a loser.

    I don't get it...

Could be because my brain is fried from work today.

I'm sure Melania is smart enough to be a good wife and excel at other things than babysitting her husband.

Probably how takes a woman to clean things up. Melanie will come in clean up Trump steaming pyramids he seems to be leaving everywhere. Look at the help she was nudging him to put hand over heart. She could hide his phone at night.

    I'm sure she can too.

Is that honestly what you took from my post?

OK....so I'm not really sure what your reply was all about then.

Again...that could be because I'm a little worn out.

Because in combination with your comment I actually thought it was a bit funny. Wife who are supposed to clean up after her husband, etc etc. Sort of 50's and also funny in the context.

    Huh.

I guess we saw different things in that clip. You saw Melania "cleaning up after him" or "baby sitting" him.

I saw a wife helping her husband. Wives and husbands should help each other be better versions of themselves IMHO.

Good idea... but then at least she seems to have quite a project on the drawing boards. Maybe she will be a good influence on him when she's in the White House. It's hard to tell if the press reports about her not really liking having to go live in DC are true or not. I've seen some say that and one that said not so.

God knows we've come a long way from the Bon Ami ad days. I don't know any guys now who'd dare sit around watching a wife do kitchen patrol while he sits on his behind chowing down. (and I'll never tell what happened to the ones ever tried that at my place).

Would make more sense if the husband was at sink with apron and wife was at table having coffee. I mean the part about helping each other.

    I wasn't sure if it's too subtle.

How many people have noticed the thread title?

I find it difficult to get a good read on her. Sometimes she looks miserable. Sometimes they look normal together. Who knows what's going on with the two of them.

There was a good deal of chauvinism back then for sure, but it seems like today the pendulum has swung so far in the other direction that now, its apparently wrong to say someone seems to exhibit the traits of a good wife when she helps her husband. As if being a good wife is somehow derogatory or degrading.

A husband should be pitching in with household chores, but the fact that people seem repulsed by the idea that a wife be a homemaker and do the majority of household tasks is bizarre to me, especially given the fact that some polls estimate more than half of all working moms would prefer to be homemakers.
