Yep..except for now he is blaming Clinton for starting the whole birther conspiracy, which he is completely wrong about that as well.

Trump is hoping people have short or non-existent memories. The fact is - Hillary nor her campaign questioned Obama's birthplace. Trump lied about it. And he has held on like a stubborn mule to this until now - when he thinks he can erase many years of being the antagonist. It's truly unbelievable. Scarier is the amount of people who will believe that he, alone, put this to rest.

So Clinton isn't responsible for a campaign with her name on it?

He’s a salesman, and he was lying about it or overhyping vapors.

Remember when Hillary Clinton started the “birther” movement?

FWIW: DailyKos are some of the fakest liberals there are, same with Crooks and Liars. When Bush was POTUS, they were great. With Bush 2.0bama as POTUS, they’re fake ass bitches.

Like I mentioned in the Thiel for SCOTUS thread:

    That has already been debunked.

    And debunked again.

    And debunked again.

    And again.

And Fact Checked to be FALSE.

Matthews and his team went into the archives and found nothing from Hillary or her campaign that indicated they started this belief.

From that final link, you find this: Hillary’s Deplorables started “birtherism.”

Birther row began with Hillary Clinton supporters

    http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/wor...ow-began-with-Hillary-Clinton-supporters.html

It was not until April 2008, at the height of the intensely bitter Democratic presidential primary process, that the touch paper was properly lit.

An anonymous email circulated by supporters of Mrs Clinton, Mr Obama’s main rival for the party’s nomination, thrust a new allegation into the national spotlight — that he had not been born in Hawaii.

“Barack Obama’s mother was living in Kenya with his Arab-African father late in her pregnancy,” it said. “She was not allowed to travel by plane then, so Barack Obama was born there and his mother then took him to Hawaii to register his birth.” Then in August 2008 Phil Berg, an ex-deputy attorney general for Pennsylvania and a renowned conspiracy theorist, filed a lawsuit alleging that Mr Obama was ineligible to be a candidate.

“Obama carries multiple citizenships and is ineligible to run for President of the United States. United States Constitution, Article II, Section 1,” it said.

You cannot support #DeplorableHillary anymore anyway: Her confederate flag proudly placed.

Maybe, maybe not. Even if it is a matter of so-called "independent" groups spreading the rumors (like the "independent" pro-Bush groups that spread rumors about McCain's black love child in 2000) it's still reflects badly on Hillary. Still, Trump ran with it far more than Clinton so it's a legitimate criticism. That said, in 2016 nobody is voting based on Birther BS.

So it was deemed false but you're still trying to assert it's true?

Funny how this is a topic and important to some. To me this is one of those "move along, nothing to see here".

Who here cares about this topic, and will it sway you in any way when it comes to voting? Trump and Clinton need to start talking about some real issues.

You should post the exact quote from that Politifact article, that “deemed false” Hillary’s deplorable supporters starting “birtherism.” Good luck.

Of course she isn't responsible for some supporters who sent out emails with BS in it. Just like Trump isn't responsible for anything his supporters say.

Truly disgusting. Hillary wasn't weak for not getting Obama's certificate. She knew the whole thing was BS. Trump is a "closer" because he decided to accept today what we've know all along? That's not being a closer - it's being an idiot.

You have. Because Trump was the only one making a huge stink out of this. So the fact that he says Obama was born in the US isn't news to anyone. He wants credit for putting something to a close? In short - he wants credit for making a mess and then cleaning it up. That's not being a closer.

The whole thing was stupid and about as unpatriotic as you can get. And NOW he wants to get back to making America Great Again. He's one of the people that was working to destroy it by stating we had an illegitimate president.

If you expect people to be glad/happy/proud of him - you've missed the point.

    Yes you have. Big time.

The point is, is that he's a liar and a con man.

So wrong. People aren't harping on him for believing it now, its because he LIED about all the proof he had.
