What kind/brand of bag do you carry, backpack, messenger bag, small shoulder/gadget bag?

I'm looking for a smaller sized backpack to carry my 13" laptop, not many options out there, most bags are too big....

The hub of stupidity
Carry 2 everyday bags:

1. Laptop Bag (shoulder)
2. College Bag (Books + Notebooks; school bag type, but smaller)

My "everyday bag" consists of several car batteries soldered to a Mac Pro held to my back via bungee cords, as well as a secured table on my chest as a place to place the 30" display(s)

My "everyday" bag is a swiss gear backback. It had a spot for a laptop and plenty of room to carry what I need. It is my travel bag when I go somewhere.

I own a shoulder bag but I hardly ever use it any more since I got my swiss gear one. I will vote get a swiss gear bag and forget it. They are well worth the cost.

On a serious note: I agree with the earlier endorsement for Swiss Gear. I have one that I use to lug around my 17" Powerbook. It has tons of room and lots of pockets. It's also very sturdy and well made. I don't carry it or any other bag every day, though, so I can't say how it would hold up with daily use and abuse.

I don't always carry it, but it is always near by. The Gator by RedOxx. They come in about a dozen colors.

I'm an amateur photographer and I read a lot, so I have an SLR and a book one me pretty every day. So, having an every day bag makes a lot of sense. However, I do not own a 'man purse'.

Just my trusty Crumpler. Doesn't get much use now I graduated but it was hella useful back then. Held my 12" PowerBook, sketchbooks, moneys, GBA/DS (when the time came). In the process of extending the strap so I can put my 13" Macbook in there. Damn widescreen.
