How principled to tell us that we must call them out by name followed by a non comment on the names of the areas. Must have thought they'd be associated with all of the great refugees they brought in.

We have no-go areas in LA too. Parts of Watts, Compton, and Beverly Hills.

There are areas like that in the Bay too, in Oakland and SF (stay out of the Tenderloin). Interesting that "no-go" area means both an area high in crime and an area of a Western nation ruled by Sharia (still have yet to see a non-fake example of that).

Paris' "no-go area" is/was Saint-Denis. Brussels' is/was Molenbeek. There may be more, but definitely the spots I stay clear of due to warnings from the locals when I'm there.

Hmmm. Not one peep about why these alleged areas are "no go", yet here we have a poster that asserts somehow multiculturalism is the cause. I wonder what would make this person jump to that narrative when there is nothing in this article alluding to that.

Almost as if the "No go" dogwhistle fomented in the USA has been grafted onto this topic, wonder why that is.

    Curious....very curious.

Merkel referred to crime, not immigration. All countries tend to have areas of high crime.

No go areas are simply high crime areas. Much like the South side of Chicago is a place 75% of this board wouldn't walk around at night. Are there pockets where certain nationalities are represented more than others, of course.

    The incident is bizarre.

Merkel says: "There are such areas and one has to call them by their name and do something about them."

    Ah. The appeal to honesty.

Merkel's recipe for solving a problem is a three step process:

    1 Identify the problem.
2 Identify the specifics of the problem.
3 Tailor a solution to the problem based on this information.

    So
    1. "There are such areas."
    2. "the chancellor’s words speak for themselves.”
    3. "security was a matter for local not federal authorities."

    How refreshing!

Oh it was founded that way.... but, I hate to say this: Certain cultures have made that a lot tougher and do NOT want to assimilate as they are supposed to. Or, they bring a lot of trouble with them. Way back when much of the immigration here was from certain areas we didnt have the problems we have now. Sorry to say but those are the facts. Way too many immigrants now just dont play nice.

    Ill leave that here.... ;)

This story has nothing to do with immigrants.

You got on so well back then you had a civil war to prove it lol. You’ve had problems finding conflicts way before you decided you didn’t like Muslim immigrants. This is just the latest bandwagon for you to deflect to.

zerohedge is a deeply conspiratorial site. They have nothing of value to add to this discussion.

I wouldn’t have brought it up if I didn’t have a clue about the history of it.

Well maybe certain blocks but for the most part the tenderloin is close to the heart of the city and does have a pretty good police presence, nothing like it used to be back in the 80s.

Actually, I saw a news report from about Paris. Some of the Muslim dominant areas are no-go for females unless they want to be harassed/groped/worse.

But since multi-culturalism isn't to blame, maybe we can take up a donation to send your wife/daughter/any other female you care about to those areas for some on the ground investigation.

So you saw right wing propaganda that has been thoroughly debunked for well over a year, and choose THAT to be what you base your response to this thread on?
