i thought some quotes might be appropriate tos ee just how "dedicated" m$ is:

While they won't be making .Net available to run on Mac OS X as a server application
The way we're looking at the Mac is that it's a great client platform to connect to .Net
yes macs arent as good as NT for server setups

For example, Browne said that Access, Microsoft's database program, would not be brought over to Mac OS X. He explained that it would take his entire team two or three years of work to bring Access to the Mac
wow, two or three weeks of work! i cant imagine working THAT long. that really is unreasonable to work on anything for that long!

the only reason they did those things is because they made good business sense
their business decisions based on how good the business is
where it makes good business sense
Browne made it very clear that the MacBU is a business
i wonder what point they are trying to make?

we want to make sure it's done right
im sure they do

Having the MacBU focus their resources will help Mac users in the long run
they want to help us. how sweet

Users of Office v. X will be glad to hear that an update, SR-1
yes we will be glad, thank you master.

im so glad m$ is looking after me. now i can stop thinking for myself alltogether and just leave all that scary hurty thinking stuff up to those who know what is best for me ;)

It says years, not weeks.

I seriously think the MacBU needs to come up with a new slogan... Saying Our Commitment is the Software we make implies that they have no commitment to the platform whatsoever. I'm not some anti-ms zealot -- but have you ever tried using IE on with IIS over a LAN? It crashes literally every minute and is constantally asking you for your proxy authentication information...
