Hello,

I wish to install the maximum amount of RAM in my mid 2010 Macbook.

I just have a few questions that I couldn't find answers to after searching the forums.

I've read mixed comments regarding how much RAM this mac can take, either 4GB or 8GB, can anyone clarify?

Also, is it correct that I require DDR3 1067MHz RAM?

Finally, I was going to purchase RAM from this store: http://www.msy.com.au/product.jsp?productId=7327

The RAM listed specifies what motherboards it is compatible with. I've looked at the system profiler of my mac, but I can't see where the motherboard is listed. How can I check whether my mac is compatible with this RAM?

Thanks for the help.

You can find specs on all Apple products, including maximum RAM:
  • By visiting EveryMac.com: Actual Maximum RAM
  • By using Mactracker
  • By entering your serial number here to find specs for your model. (Be aware that some models can use more RAM than Apple shows. Check EveryMac or MacTracker to verify.)
