I've been using this macbook pro for less then a week.
The battery capacity seems to drop alot?

Anyone having this problem too?

Coconut battery isn't 100% accurate. However if you're still in the 14day period after purchase, I'd still take it to apple for a replacement as they replace them 'no questions asked' within 14 days.

I have exactly the same problem. Battery Health was 100% when it arrived, 96% after the first charge cycle, and 92% after the second cycle. I am still undecided what to do about that.

Question to the original poster: Are you using the charger that came with the MBP (I think it is 60W), or did you use a more powerful charger (I think 80W) from the 15" models?

I am using the default charger that came with the macbook.

Right now my battery capacity is:

Btw i calibrated my battery already
Should i go down to the apple store to let them have a look?

Battery capacity fluctuates by as much as 10%. There is absolutely nothing wrong with your battery.

Hey Guys, I have the exact same problem. Got my Macbook Pro 13" about 3 weeks ago...my battery came with approx. 5500 mAh and is now at 5301 with 10 charge cycles (according to istat nano and system profiler). I calibrated the battery right after I got it...seems the battery didn't like that.

Thoughts anyone? I wonder how common this issue is...

Dan

If you're worried, go to system profiler and then to Power and check what it says under Health Information, specifically "Condition". Although I'd give it a bit longer to see if it stabilizes.

I'm not a technician but I doubt that after proper calibration the battery capacity should fluctuate by 10%...mine does fluctuate between 96-97%

The reason it does this is not because the battery is fluctuating, but the software that checks health isn't entirely accurate. Calibration will only set a rough "median" for the fluctuation.
