Slow news day in Trumpland so far, I guess.

    Anyway.

That op-ed piece from the Miami Herald cited by jk in the OP shows good reason why Nina Turner should be getting more attention from the DNC. Millennials of color who see past Trump (and bank on it there will be more by 2018) need something more like what Nina Turner speaks of in her support for Our Revolution, the ongoing movement for those who supported Bernie Sanders inside the Democratic Party, than whatever the DNC's talking points were the last time out the box. Less pedantry, more connection to grassroots.

Now it's true that Hillary Clinton once worked in a fish cannery, but that was a long, long time ago. Nina Turner's paychecks from fast food joints and Payless Shoes are in the rear view for awhile now also, but she still remembers and makes that grass roots connection seem effortless when she campaigns for progressive interests.

Party on, at least those little... whatever they are.... are entertaining. I'm going back to my conversion of a pattern for a 12" quilt block into one for a 7" block. Before I lose my mind in here.

I don't remember a continued negative narrative against Bush, Dole, Gore, Kerry, McCain, or Romney. In fact, I'd say all of them rebounded quite quickly because the majority of the negative tone was built in the presidential primaries itself. The fact that Hillary lost, and people still find it relevant to speak out against her, is a glaringly obvious point being made: people can't stand her. Even outside of a presidential process. The sentiment was long before the primary, and I don't see that opinion changing anytime soon after. And yet the DNC still thought she was the safest choice. Whatever.

well few forum posters doesn't really reflect overall opinion.. after all 3 million more individual voted for her.
anyways, so you don't think propaganda has nothing to do with blind hatred against her? nobody said she was perfect but clearly was the better choice. she has done lots good.

i personally think American's aren't just ready for a female president. Jesus can turn into a female and run for president of USA but she would be defeated.

    I never understood this comment.
America has been ready for a female president for a while.
The issue is with the people that each party puts up. Hillary is damaged goods and has been for a while. Too many people literally hate her.

Nikki Haley or Tulsi Gabbard come to mind.
Both have more centrist views even though they are from different parties.
I would vote for either one of them if they ran.
Be a hard choice if both were on the ballot.

LOL Frank's Hot Sauce corporate parent (UK outfit) just got bought out by McCormick's, along with French's Mustard. The march of the global oligopolies continues.

No matter what we carry with us in our dailiy lives or on our political grudge sheets, in the end we all have to find a way to live together. I'm hoping we in the US can back off a little from the high levels of hatred that had ramped up by time Nov 8th rolled around last year. It seems to have simmered down a little. I think it would be even more the case if Trump were doing a somewhat better job for the country. Honestly even when I squint and try to think of him as working hard to MAGA, he falls kinda short. Kinda more than kinda short.

jkcerda keeps playing whack-a-mole with Hillary because no matter how much concrete gets poured on her political career she keeps clawing her way out.

Maybe. I know a lot of people that carry Sriracha everywhere they go. Clinton could very well be one of those types of people. Have you dined with her?

Well at least you give yourself the benefit of the doubt you would be able to stomach eating the meal with her before you let loose.
