Mini Displayport to DVI adapter supports 1920x1200 or not?

Looking at the reviews for the Mini DisplayPort to DVI adapter, there seems to be conflicting information on whether it supports 1920x1200. Some people say it does, other people say it doesn't and you need to buy the $99 dual-link DVI adapter. I want to use my 24" 1920x1200 NEC monitor with my 15" MBP, so I'm wondering if I can use the adapter or not.

I'm using one on my Dell U2410 @ 1920x 1200 and everything is working fine.

As it is compatible with the 23" ACD, which has a resolution of 1920 x 1200, it should work.
