Hi all

I purchased a midnight blue modern buckle second hand for my mum as a Christmas gift.
The band is generally in great condition but the stainless buckle has fine scratches. What would be the best method to try to polish these scratches out?

Here is a picture of the band, has anyone had any luck polishing scratches out of the metal buckle parts?

Would be grateful for some help/advice!

Pretty sure the buckle is also stainless steel like the watch. Assuming that is the case, a Cape Cod cloth should do the trick.

Thanks, I was thinking about trying this. However only one half of the buckle can be detached from the leather strap so I’m worried I would damage the leather!

Might try using blue painters tape to cover the leather before using the cloth. It should protect it from damage and won’t damage the leather or leave a residue when you take it off.

Good idea, think I’ll give that a go. Thank you :)
