Modified T-Mobile carrier update for iPhone 5

This is for anyone who's receiving slower data speeds on T-Mobile after the carrier update. I'm just letting you guys know if it's what happened to you, this is a fix. If anyone tries this, would you kindly let me know if it works? I'm planning on getting a T-Mobile iPhone 5 soon.

Their are instructions for both jailbroken and nonjailbroken phones on the link. Installing the modified carrier update will not affect your jailbreak.....

Yep just looked over at tmonews and saw both sets of instructions, will try later.

The original story on Tmo news has been updated to make it so it's not necessary to do a full restore on an unjailbroken phone. Simply reset network settings.

I did. Can't say there's a huge difference, but reception in my condo went from around 4.6Mbps to 6.7Mbps. Not a huge jump and may just be normal variation. Hoping it will solve the problem where my data seems to hang occasionally and I have to go in and out of airplane mode to get it going again.
