@mods: Could we please have an additional subforum for American issues?

American issues seem to be very much over-represented in this sub forum - for example there are no less than 5 threads about "gun rights" and 10 threads about the upcoming POTUS election in the first page.

Could we somehow split it into "american" and "non-american" to make it easier for us Europeans (or Russians, or most Asians...) to skip those issues we don't care that much about?

Additionally, if we wanted to bring out perspective in one it would basically amount to involuntary trolling (I can see most conservative Americans being thoroughly horrified by the average European's view on guns).

    It's PRSI. ;)

Also, shouldn't this be in the 'Site and Forum Feedback' subforum?

Inside every foreigner is an American trying to get out.

I'm going to go to the forums hosted on another country and demand Americans have a special forum.

I imagine that'll look just no worse. Or maybe much worse because it's an American making a request, go figure.

On edit (Additional): It all brings up a good point: How many country-centric forums should any site have, anyway? We could have a consensus and write the UN to make regulation? But people hate regulations, which are nothing more than laws with a different name...

And if all else fails, Trump will make sure they get out.

It's a U.S. based site that covers a U.S. based company so certainly U.S. issues are going to be "over-represented" on this forum. There are probably better forums that are based in your own country or region for discussing topics that are of importance to you.

That's why they need the Canadian safespace subform. Issue-free.

Are you asking for a safe space while assuming others need a safe space from your views? lol...

eta: Also, I couldn't care less about the average European's view on firearms.

I think the right wingers in here need a safe space forum that protects them from progressive ideas.

Why not a foreign sub forum? That would make more sense given this is an American site and most posts involve US politics. If you're not happy with the representation of foreign countries than this probably is not the right site.

I actually wouldn't mind an election subforum to avoid endless Trump/Clinton nonsense. :D

The thing with PRSI is that many of the topics are interrelated between politicians, policy, and various countries.

And at the end of the day this is an Apple forum. Not a political site.

We seem to do well holding our own seeing we're outnumbered 10-1.

Well, I thought that the site, although hosted in America, aimed for an international readership (and mostly succeeded in that), that's all.

    Or that, sure.

No, it's... how subforums appear to work.
Like, how there is a separate section for iOS and one for OS X, to have a better organization of threads.
Incidentally, "safe space" appears to be another entirely American invention, if I have Googled it correctly :)

    I respect that.
OTOH, European readers and forum members couldn't care less about gun issues, so you see how splitting the subforum would benefit both :)

    Ooops, sorry.
    Could a mod please move?

I'm not so sure about that.... the tactic of using the same retorts over and over again and ignoring anything thrown back only works for so long ;)

I know, I get tired of answering the same questions/claims all the time. I wish the lefties would find new material.

Well when Trump doesn't bother to tweet anything but his schedule for the next day, it's hard to complain about his apparently running-out-of-steam big mouth.

Although I dunno if having two rallies in Michigan is how I would play it. I'd scoot home to NY for lunch, see if Clinton's dropped down to the 99.7% probability mark yet, maybe try to turn that deep blue pale pink? 29 votes, Donny... 29 EC votes.

Depends on the country. It could be quite the show to demand it in Moscow.

Vlad: watch me pretend to cave before customers of the one and perhaps only lingering superpower, home of one of my favorite sidekicks.
They'd be happy to oblige despite the lack of diplomatic finesse in our approach, and they'd put up some special guidelines maybe even some really special links... as long as we shut our yaps about Assad, Aleppo and the love nest Vlad's feathering for Donny...

That part's not true, not true at all, we don't even know each other.

Quite a few recent threads on international taxation, corporate taxation, trade treaties, and so on, with issues that affect everyone regardless of which country they are in/from. Even Canada. ;)
