    Hello,

MBP 13" Mid 2012 Intel Core i5 2.5 GHZ 16 GB Intel HD Graphics 4000 1536 MB. 500 GB Spinning HD.
    macOS Mojave 10.14.4 (18E266)

    A) Downloaded Mojave 10.14.6 (18G87) without any issue from:
    Code:
    /usr/bin/open "x-apple.systempreferences:com.apple.preferences.softwareupdate?client=bau&installMajorOSVersion=10.14.6"
    Code:
defaults read "/Volumes/macOS Base System/System/Library/CoreServices/SystemVersion.plist" ProductVersion
    10.14.6
    Code:
defaults read "/Volumes/macOS Base System/System/Library/CoreServices/SystemVersion.plist" ProductBuildVersion
    18G87

    B) Created a bootable macOS Mojave USB Install drive following this tutorial without any issue:

    C) Format my HD using the bootable USB Installer Mojave 10.14.6 (18G87), Clean Install

    D) Install Mojave 10.14.6 (18G87) without any issue, but in the first reboot the system Freeze or Crash
I have to Force Shutdown my MacBook Pro by pushing the Power button.

    E) Turning ON again my MacBook Pro by pushing the Power button, shows me a warning message, once the systems boots again Mojave 10.14.6 (18G87) is installed.

What could be the problem or what I am doing wrong?

    Thanks
    Camelia

Can you erase your HD and restore from a backup?

Nop, it is a clean install, I don't need at this moment nothing to restore from a backup

Open the Console app and take a look at System reports, there should be more info about the crash.

Wait a day and install the new combo update.

Better yet, wait a couple more days beyond that and re-download the full updated installer from the app store, which should by then include this update. Running the entire install again (over your current install - not a clean install) is a step better than just applying the combo update.
