I am curious what others are seeing in terms of Mojave speed. I am running the public beta on my computer and am noticing a bit of lag on everything. This is a fairly new computer, so I don't really have a baseline to compare it to. I am assuming that the beta will slow things down, but wanted to check as this is a 2017 and should feel much faster than my old one, when it actually seems a fair bit slower.

Thanks for your thoughts!

No problem with speed here, seems snappy and fast, this is the latest public beta I am using. and on a Mac Pro 5.1

No problems here either with speed on either my Mac mini late 2012 or MacBook Air 2017. Maybe try reinstalling the beta over itself and see if that cures anything.

I am testing the public beta on my early 2014 MBAir. Few issues at all. Some things are a little glitchy, but it's a public beta. To be expected. Overall, it seems pretty zippy and reliable to me.

Thanks for the insight everyone! It sounds like my issues might be related to something else, but a fresh install wouldn’t hurt. I will probably hold on and see if the GM comes out in September so that I can hop off the beta train, but I might give it a reinstall before then if I can’t figure out the slowness.

I'm still holding off for GM since I got a couple of issues with my SAP applications on Mojave, I'll upgrade to it as soon as they release a patch for the SAP GUI.

I am now on public beta 8 10.14 Beta (18A377a) and have seen an increase in speed with each release. Been using Geekbench 4. Also with this last release I have see a major improvement in battery life and my MacBook Pro is running at lower temperatures. Overall very pleased have only found very minor issues. Cant wait for the GM.
