Looking forward to Mojave!

Not really interested in dark mode but if others like it, fine - no issues. However, I think I may find the other new enhancements useful.

Features I would like to see in Mojave:

Free rotation of images in Preview and Quickview, not in increments of 90 degrees.

Option to change how Messages handles the return key.

In iOS the return key moves to the next line. On the Mac it sends the message. Either make them the same or let the user choose.

Larger text option in Contacts. Don't need to increase the text size of the whole system, just Contacts.

Improve the handling of windows. There is a reason why Magnet and Moom along with other such apps are very popular.

My preference below would beat both Linux and Windows.

- Double click on the title bar to autosize.
- Full Screen button like Mountain Lion.
- Green button, Maximize the Window (Full sized window with Dock and Menu visible).
- Instruct the app to remember size & window position. Even AOL Desktop has this feature!

It is not a good day when AOL actually has Apple beat!

I agree this should be consistent, but at least on the Mac you can hit alt+return to get a new line

Isn't this already an option in System Preferences > Dock > Double-click a window's title bar to *zoom*?

Yes, right sizing is available, however, these two options are not currently available:

- Maximize the Window (Full sized window with Dock and Menu visible).

Unfortunately in my ten years of Mac experience right sizing is never the right size. Hence the need for other options. Window handling is the biggest weakness on the Mac.

Free rotation is a very strange request. The only way you can store an image is via a rectangular array, at least with any format that Preview or I am familiar with.

To implement a feature like free rotate, I guess it could be done by turning whatever is being rotated into a PNG and fitting the freely rotated image within the requisite rectangular array, with alpha pixels filling in the area remaining from the inscribed plane left by the rotation.

I'm not sure why you would want to do this. This would actually make your image much less flexible and, frankly, be a relative pain in the ass to fix later.

Sticking to a standard 90° rotation and then just rotating however you desire within an app such as Pages makes much, much more sense in my opinion.

In education we receive crocked scans all the time (PDFs and JPEGs). It would be nice if we could straighten the images quickly in either Preview or in the new Quick Look. Just add the rotation tool from Photos.

Oh yeah the rotation tool from photos would be fine. It just uses the existing pixels of an image and crops out a certain number of them as you change the angle of the inscribed cropping rectangle. That is certainly one way of rotating, albeit one that crops out a lot of content from the original image

I think my main problem with quick look markup is that when i crop it doesnt let me restrict my crop to an aspect ratio such as 1:1 3:2 or 16:9 which means if i want to accurately crop anything i still have to open another app

When I'm say wanting to upload an image from Photo Library to a website in Safari I can't click on Photo Library and just browse. I need to find it separately, move it to somewhere then upload it from there. It's stupid and infuriating. One on my only real niggles with MacOS.
