(It's not tax increase, as some keep saying, its ending special tax brakes)

    Eliminate farm subsidies $14 bill
    Eliminate earmarks $14 bill
    End Ethanol subsidies $60 Bill
End oil exploration subsidies $8 bill

Total of $96 billions in savings per year!

Those WILL NOT change what people pay, because either by taxes or straight from wallet, we pay.

    Add to that:
End the "Missile Defense" program $107 billions

    Total of $203 billions.

Reauthorize the FAA. Nearly 100,000 jobs and a lot of money per week.

Kill everyone over the age of 65. That way, we can do away with Medicare and Social Security.

Oh wait- we can just do away with Medicare and Social Security and all the old people will die on their own! Perfect!

Honestly? Do away with all the Bush tax cuts! What is it gonna take to get that done?

Um, earmarks aren't new spending, they are just claiming the funds authorized for certain budgets. It's taking the approved spending money, and directing it to an actual project.

You can't just eliminate farm subsidies, but I would be in favor of making a more balanced approach where we trade corn subsidies for other kinds of vegetables. There is no reason we should be producing so much corn.

And yes, Ethanol is a sham.

If you're going to write your congressman, you might be taken more seriously if your spelling and grammar are correct.

Seriously, don't present yourself as a borderline illiterate. Get help if need be.

And still a ridiculously small amount compared to the #1 biggest cost to our country, our skyrocketing healthcare costs.

What is driving up these rates so much? Keep in mind when people talk about Medicare/Medicaid being huge (trillions), what your talking about is the cost of healthcare in this country being too damn expensive. What drives up Medicare and Medicaid costs up so much? Healthcare costs.

Considering the fact that our military is 13 times bigger than any other military and almost equal to every military in the world COMBINED.

We may be able to find a way to trim a little more fat there.

After that we have a lot of corporate tax issues to get on before we start taking down farmers.

+1 on the ethanol and a big chunck of the Missile Defense program.

No doubt, and their is MUCH, MUCH more that can be cut from the budget, including stuff in Medicare/Medicaid.

The point is what I pointed out are some are subsides that keep getting renewed every year, and certain congress people seem to say eliminating this is like raising tax.

    BTW
Three major reasons Medicare/Medicaid keep going up so fast?
    1. Aging population.
    2. Law-suite abuse.
    3. Insurance premium increase to cover #2.

The fact that close to 30% of Medicare is spent on the last 60 days of the lives of the dying is crazy.

We need us some death panels.

Buy the Afghan opium harvest and distribute it as palliative care to anyone who's too ancient and decrepit.

I would keep the missile defense program, actually. Why would people build ICBMs if they are simply shot out of the sky? We have lots of nuclear warheads sitting in the ground wasting lots of money. Let's perfect the defense and eliminate our warheads.

The herd's beggin' to be trimmed...

All-out global nuclear war would be a cheap but highly effective way to foster clear thinking about economic issues.
