Hello,

For the fast 3weeks, I've been playing around with my macbook and I reallly appreciate it. But I was wondering something : Is it possible to add multiple POP3 account in mail. I already have gmail in it, but I would also like to have hotmail, my ISP mail, and my university mail

Thanks

Yes it is possible, you can add as many as you like.

I'm not at my Mac to be able to give any direction, but it is pretty straight forward.

Yes it is possible to have as many pop mail accounts as you like in Mail. In the Mail preferences window under the Accounts panel you should be able to hit the '+' sign to add another account. This account can be pop, iMAP, Exchange or .Mac. I currently have 3 pop accounts and 2 iMAP accounts all running in Mail. I have had more than this in the past but have done some re-shuffling to minimize active accounts.

ok I have a POP and IMAP set up can I show both?

I have set up a pop and an imap account in my mail but I can only get the last account I set up to display and check my messages. Is their a trick to show both my inboxes or how can I switch back and forth between accounts. These are seperate accounts on seperate servers if that makes an difference.

All accounts have to be setup properly. Like a lot of Mac users, I have several accounts--POP3 and IMAP--setup in Mail on my computer. They all work fine. Mail unifies the top-level standard boxes--Inbox, Drafts, Sent, Trash, and Junk. However, the respective boxes for each separate account are just a click away. Just rotate the triangle in front of the box you want. The only catch is that my ISP blocks the SMTP server of some external accounts. For those, I use my ISP's SMTP server.

Doh!

I can't believe I didn't see that. I hit the expand triangle and lo an behold there are both my inboxes. I hate it when I miss the obvious. Thanks
