Hi guys, this my first week into mac ownership after years of windows, so i have gotta a load of questions that i am gonna be asking over the next few months!!!

Anyways....my first question is this :

I have in imac and a macbook pro all connected on a network I also have a Bufflo Link Station Live which i store all my music, pics and video's on. What i would like to do is make both mac's use this as the default for the MUSIC, PICTURES and VIDEO Folders that currently save to the MAC HD. So what i want to do is when i use finder it brings up the MUSIC PICTURES AND MOVIE Folders it goes stright to the Link Station

Hope you guys can help me

You can either use aliases in your Home folder to replace the actual folders, or you can drag folders to your sidebar from the NAS. Here's what I'd do:

  1. Select the folder in your Home folder.
  2. Make aliases of them from the File menu.
  3. Drag the originals to the NAS.
  4. Remove the alias tag at the end of each of the aliases.
