Isn't this what lobbyists do on a daily basis though? Use money (either the giving of it or the withholding of it) to attempt influence politicians?

For any true political reform to happen in this country we need to get rid of gerrymandering and level the playing field when it comes to campaign financing.

He just comes off looking worse, which is impressive for his already negative perception.

As the article stated, Obama already has ties and the purse strings of various industry officials loosened. And who else would they support anyway?

This was how Dodd did business while he was in the Senate. I am still amazed how the people of this state voted for him.

From a few interviews Ive seen over the past week, some people are trying to make it so they can donate the money directly to candidates instead of going through the PACS. Sadly you dont hear much about a movement to change it back to the way it was.

The Pacs are different from candidate donations. PACS can say what ever they want and are not affiliated with the candidiate.

Well aware of that. But from what i understand corpos can only give unlimited money to superpacs/ PACS, which why they are so prevelant now. What I was saying is that people are trying to change it to cut out the pac and be able fund a canidate directly.
