Finally! Cant wait to see George Bush's face in the morning.
Really think it will happen?
Bush is going to throw a fit because he's got the temperment of a child.
He's looking for his veto pen right now.
no. never really was a chance.
Changed my avatar in honor of the occasion.
probably go down as 49 or 50, but I suppose there are some common sense GOP senators will helping dems, like Arlen Spector, John McCain, Lugar, Snow, Collins. should be enough to stop stupid bills.
And Im still waiting for Spector, Snow, and Collins to jump ship.
Where I live, Really Awesome Democrat and Obnoxious Bigoted Republican are at 50/50. I'm really annoyed because I wanted to go to bed an hour ago. And because of the way this would impact our lives, of course.
I really want the Dems to take both the House and the Senate. It would be the first time in years when any positive impact for America had the ability of actually being done.
Something like this...
This is too good. It's been a long time coming guys! Woohoo! Bye-bye House Republicans! Doesn't it suddenly feel like we live in the real US again?
It's under the sofa cushions with the loose change and used Kleenex.
The Jim Beam's down there too.
finally finally finally...
The Senate...probably staying with the Republicans. But in another 2 years, who knows?
Great news, great news.
Not perfect, though. Senate is still up for grabs -- and with recounts, that situation could be on hold for a while.
I saw that several states had ballot measures to ban abortion, and they were defeated. OTOH, several states also had "define marriage" (code for anti-gay), and those apparently passed.
Of course, we homos are the boogeyman coming for your children.
No, no -- that's up in the chandelier.
He admits it!!!!
Now, now, calm down. Nobody is going to stone anybody until I blow this whistle.
Bring it on!
May I be the first to appologize to the rest of the world on behalf of Democrats for the last 6 years...
We are sorry
How we're seeing it:
From ABC News.
As of right now it looks like the anti-gay measure isn't going to pass in Arizona. Probably because it also bans civil unions and benefits for straight couples as well as gay couples.
He was actually pretty dignified about it. Er, for him. Actually, he came off kinda flippant though. I wonder if he's just planning on blowing us all up from his bunker.
Anybody notice the gas prices going back up?
